PRYME's GPSMIC BaseStation unit (BSU) is a standalone, rack-mounted unit that interfaces with base radio(s) and connects to a PC or mapping server to control deployed GPSMIC units in the field and transmit real time GPS data to a server or PC running compatible mapping software. One PRYME GPSMIC BaseStation can be expanded to operate on up to 4 different radio channels simultaneously. (PRYME GPSMIC Tools Software Suite and BSU interface cables included.)

Interfaces a base-station radio with a computer running GPSMIC Tools software. Allows the software to receive location reports from the GPSMIC system, poll the locations of GPSMIC units, and view those location reports graphically.
EXPANDABLE to support up to FOUR base station radios operating on separate channels.
STACKABLE: additional BSUs can be combined to support additional channels. (Two BSUs can support up to 8 radio channels; Three BSUs can support up to 12 radio channels; etc.)
Front-panel status LEDs show status of each radio channel
19" rack-mountable. May be located at any control point on the radio system.

- Modem Connector: One DB-26 (HD) female per channel, rear panel mounted.
- Power Switch: Rocker type, On-Off, rear panel mounted.
- Indicators: One Bi-color LED per modem channel, front panel mounted.
- Primary Power: 85 - 264 VAC, 40 - 440 Hz, 5 Watts

- Receive Audio Input Impedance: >3K ohm, single-ended; > 6K ohm, balanced
- Receive Audio Input Voltage: 4.0 V RMS, maximum (configuration dependent)
- Transmit Audio Output: A.C. coupled, single ended
- Transmit Audio Impedance: < 10 ohms
- External Mic Input: Electret cartridge compatible, bias 3V via 3K ohm
- External PTT Input: 3V CMOS, active low
- PTT Output: Open Drain; 14VDC max @ 250 mA
- Serial Port 1: RS-232 (PC serial port compatible)
- Serial Port 2: 3V CMOS level, RS-232 protocol (RX port is 5V tolerant)
